17:25   Zuiderduinzaal: Keynote: Koen Bertels, TU Delft, The Netherlands 17:25 45 mins Quantum Computing: from qubit to accelerator Koen Bertels Abstract: It is very strange to read that so many companies and organisations are building a quantum computer. It is very difficult to know what one understands by that. It is more logical that, at this phase in the development of the core technology, to reason in terms of quantum accelerators. The functionality is very tied to the application one wants to accelerate and the different layers one needs to build such a device has been defined by the Quantum Computer Architecture lab in Delft. This presentation will focus on what those layers are and give one example of an accelerator we are currently building.
